A few months in to the purchase of our 2019 JLRU my wife has decided that she wants the Hellayella Hard Top and Fenders rather than the black. Is there anyone that's interested in trading or are there any suggestions on the best way to procure a new Hellayella Hard Top short of going through Mopar ($3200+) and having it painted later?

With some warmer weather this week up here in Ontario Canada we were finally able to remove hardtop and doors for the first time ever. Felt great driving around town like this. Now just need some side mirrors.

Nice. Since you're a hard topper, I'll ask you a question that occurred to me this past weekend. With the first warmish days of the year, I was driving my soft top in safari mode, sunrider, and top fully down as the day warmed up and cooled back down. I wondered on a couple of occasions as I waved to folks in hard tops, were they jealous that I could easily and (relatively) quickly lower and raise my top in such situations, or did they just think I was nuts driving topless when it was 58F?

Or neither of the above...

I think youā€™d be surprised how resolved people are in their respective camps. Soft top folk are die hard convertible lovers, and some hard toppers never ever remove the freedom tops. Iā€™m sure thereā€™s a good number in the middle of the ven diagram (dual toppers!) too. I think it boils down to there being SO many Jeeps out there, the vast majority have no idea of the wave, forums, or other Jeeps. Theyā€™re just trying to focus on snap chatting and keeping the thing straight at 70mph at the same time!

As long as itā€™s not raining the top is down. 58F? Rookie number. šŸ˜€

I picked up my new Jeep Tuesday and havenā€™t had the chance to take it for much of a drive yet. But the soft top will definitely go down!

Finally took the Jeep off road this weekend. My daughter and I made a trip out to the Silver Island Mountain Range which is just north of the Bonneville Salt Flats. This was her first time driving off-road. Good times! This is my fourth Jeep and by far the best handling both on and off road.

I bought the dual tops and although I like the hard top, living in Southern Arizona the soft top offers far more flexibility. I love pulling the windows out and putting the top down. I did add a JTopsUSA shade to protect my bald redhead skin from the sun to some degree. When I buy another Jeep it will be with the premium soft top only. The only benefit of having both is that U-Haul will not rent you a trailer unless you have a hard top.

Well I've joined the club. First Wrangler for me but after renting one out west last year I thought I'd see what it's like owning one. Previously owned an XJ. Traded in the blue RAM.

I ordered it and got it in 4 weeks. Let the mods commence. :CWL:

Temperature is all dependent on your acclimatization. In Southern Arizona 65Ėš is getting on the chilly side and once my 16-year old daughter put the seat heater on when it was 102Ėš because driving through the pecan groves made the air chilly. Spend a summer at 100Ėš+ and suddenly colder temps aren't as bearable. Of course the trade-off is 9 months of amazing weather.

Looking for opinions. I canā€™t decide between red or black for my sunshade.
what did you choose?

I've always been partial to non-black colors from a heat perspective. I have a white alien shade from my previous JL that has been serviceable for now, but I've also been sniffing around getting a replacement. It doesn't hurt that the front bungee clips broke when i tried to get them off the fronts.

The madness continues. :) I just had the AEV Salta XR wheels installed today on my existing KO2s.
