That is awesome, that was always my dream ride and I never got ahold of one, and when I got my JL I was telling myself it was sort of an updated 90 to make myself feel better ;)

My JK was a better all around vehicle and had better off road ability. There is something about a D90, though! Not a great only car with a 100 mile round trip commute. Too bad hindsight is not 20/20.

I like that your profile says out west. By some of the fauna in this photo I may have an idea of which state this was taken in. Great place to enjoy the outdoors in.

Indeed...
Hella in AZ is a popular combination.

Yeah, it's either AZ or a spaghetti western.

Just discovered this great little network of trails 11 minutes from my couch, although it's scratching the hell out of my girl. Nothing to be done about it... will just have to respray her someday.

The thing I love about Hella Yella is the pin striping doesn't really show.

Well after a wash & sunny afternoon light I am wondering if there have been any new magical infomercial style paint scratch fix technology developments lately :movember:

I recently installed the JCR Offroad steel Vangard, front, back, and tire carrier. In general, workmanship was spot on, but it very much lacks in the engineering department, especially the tire carrier! That alone is an absolute disaster of a product (certainly considering the price). Don't get me wrong, the holes fit, the bumpers work, but it's not a well thought out product. In other words, it works, and that's about it. I certainly wouldn't do it again. One example, there's no considerations for lights up front. The best one can really do is bull-bar brackets for 3" or 4" hangers maybe, and even that would require wrapped, strapped brackets of some sort. I wanted a 20" Bar up there - I chose the Rigid. Pricey yes, but certainly does a nice job lighting things up.

So now I needed a way to mount it. JB-89's brackets to the rescue! Absolutely love how they mounted in there, worked the lines of the Bull-Bar, and did not block any additional airflow into the grill. Not to mention they are ROCK SOLID, and will not allow one bit of give. Two bolts hold the brackets down to the bumper (which I had to drill the bumper). .188" steal, mimics the bumper bull bar. And the horizontal locking nuts are hidden inside the 1.25" square tube. The light can not be removed without the complete bracket assembly being removed, which would include the skid plate below.

Light sites a half of an inch above the bumper ridge (in front of the winch) and about 1 inch forward of the winch.

A weekend's worth of work, but I'm a happy camper. Shame the manufacture didn't make accommodations, again, especially for the cost of these bumpers.

Went for a weekend drive from about sea level to above 6,000 feet. It was 90 degrees at home, but 60 degrees when we took this picture. The wife was mad that we left the warmth to see snow. I think the view, smell of pine, and peace and quiet was well worth it the top down chill.

First time going door less - it sure is a head rush at freeway speeds! This morning was a beautiful 50 degree Minnesota morning. Not sure if it will be conducive to a reasonable hair day by the time I get to work however - especially after 6 weeks of no hair cuts (thank you COVID-19!)
