Heated steering wheel not that hot?

2021 Willys and mine never gets “hot”. It gets warm and that’s all I really want. I usually only use it for a few minutes; just long enough to get the leather warmed up.

My 2020 Sport S wheel gets warm quickly and I usually leave it on the entire trip as it is just the right temperature!

My 2021 only gets luke warm. Others I have used seem to get really hot quickly.

230 miles on a 2021 JL Rubicon with Cold Weather Package: the steering wheel is very warm. I probably will not use it because it is too hot.

Like others have said, mine will damn near burn your hands after 10 mins and I have to turn it off. The seats get just as hot. I really wish I could adjust the auto-on temp to 30deg instead of 40.

I have a 2021 and sometimes it seems hotter than others. Not sure if its in my head or really like that. If it's really cold out and im driving for a while it seems like it doesn't stay very hot but if I move my hand to a new spot its like the rest of the wheel is much warmer, again maybe all in my head. I think its on par with other FCA vehicles I've had as rentals. Warmer than my GM vehicle. I'd really like to see a high and low heat setting....

I wonder the same thing. I sometimes think it adjusts the temperature by the outside temperature. I turn it on leaving the garage, it might not get that warm, but once I see the outside temperature display drop, I turn off the steering wheel and turn it back on, and it seems to get much hotter. Once again could all be in my head, but I feel like there might be an algorithm in play here.

I have having problems with my heated seats and steering wheel, they don't get that hot at all. Are they noy suppose to get very hot?

My wheel doesn’t get very hot. My seats? Holy cow... Setting 3 is like the surface of Mercury.

My 2021 Rubicon steering wheel get nice and hot, great for my arthritis.
And the heated seated seats(cloth) get very warm, great for my back.
It's therapeutic. I have fun driving it and it helps my old bones. It works better
than the wheel and seats in my 2020 f250 Lariat.

Cold weather coming again. Was anyone able to confirm there was a change for 2021? Compared to level 3 on the seats the steering wheel is at level one at its hottest and off at the coldest all while my heated wheel light is still on. 2021 Rubicon built at the end of October.
