Can anyone tell me where the heaters in the JL are located in the seat? Some vehicles have lumbar and buttocks area only, while some seats heat all the way down the thighs. How high up the back to the heaters go, and how far down the seat? If they don't give great coverage, I can probably arrange for a better aftermarket solution locally for about $500. Thanks,

Without going outside and getting everything running I can't tell you exactly where they heat. But it sure is good, and I have appreciated it over the last few days. something to keep in mind, is that with the Cold Weather package, you also get a heated steering wheel.
For me, seats and steering wheel are well worth the deal. My last two Mercs have had the sports package, so they get some wood on the steering wheel, so no heat, my old BMW had it, and I am please to have it on my Jeep again!

Thank you, Will_Jeep! I've had a few seat heaters that weren't really worth using. I agree the wheel makes it a better deal.

I have cloth seats, and the heaters do get hot quickly!

I love the seat heaters. To me it feels like they heat mostly in the buttocks and lower back areas but they are more than substantial and feel great on these cold mornings. And I love the heated steering wheel. I start mine with the phone app a few minutes before I head down to the garage and everything is nice and toasty once I get to the Jeep.

I just tested them out, the back goes up past the lumbar to the middle of my back, I’m 6’2” for height reference. The seat of the seat does feel like its mainly on the buttocks, but it spreads down through your thighs as well.

Heated seats and wheel rule. By far the best I ever had.
Even with a leather steering wheel cover it still warms up nicely.

I live in Texas so I don’t use them often. But for us 45 degrees is seat warmer weather. Lol. They heat up very quickly and get very warm. Thorough coverage. If I start the Jeep with them on high I need to turn them down to low (or off) within a couple of miles. The wheel gets very warm quickly too.

Do your heated seats turn themselves on in cold weather?

Only if the temperature calls for it and only when the fob is used to remotely start the jeep .

The heated seats are awesome!

no remote start, mines a manual trans. It kicked on at 39 degrees from what I can tell, just wondering if there is a setting for it I haven’t found yet.
