The 2,0 T sure does run hot, oil temps 190s, coolant 212. Trans fluid temps high as well, 180s.Yup normal for the 2.0L... Awesome in the winter.
My 2015 JK would run up to 226 water temp pretty easy. The 2,0 T sure does run hot, oil temps 190s, coolant 212. Trans fluid temps high as well, 180s.
And that's with ambient air temps in the 50s, not working hard ,rpms under 2000.
Synthetic fluids will have to perform well, fingers crossed
mine does too, unless I put the HVAC on auto, then it will gladly blow cold air in the winter. I'm told that's a normal feature.my new 19 JLU turbo seems to put out cabin heat almost immediately on startup - is that normal with the turbo ?
Yes, the coolant is heated very quickly because the exhaust is water cooled. Few other engines are.mine does too, unless I put the HVAC on auto, then it will gladly blow cold air in the winter. I'm told that's a normal feature...
I would have paid good money for this feature back in my CJ days! LOL!my new 19 JLU turbo seems to put out cabin heat almost immediately on startup - is that normal with the turbo ?
That 'splains how it goes from stone cold to operating temp before I get out of my driveway in the winter.Yes, the coolant is heated very quickly because the exhaust is water cooled. Few other engines are.
Uh, yeah. That’s why Jeep recommends a top quality synthetic in the manual. You read that, right? This means top quality Synthetic lubricants to take the heat
