Asking for some help here. Please forgive the details but would appreciate any thoughts.
2020 JLUR ordered and built September 2019. A few days after picking up from dealer I noticed a noise coming from the vents. The noise was initially most pronounced when the fan power was at level 3 and 4 and can be described as a bird chirping with a rhythm of mores code. Some days the sound is more pronounced than others and it can be enough to drive me nuts. (40 minute commute each way daily driver).
Self Troubleshooting included listening to the blower at every level and configuration. Heat/A.C. , defrost, foot vents, dash vents, engine on, engine off, even popped the hood for a listen.
I understand jeeps are a bit unrefined and the $57k MSRP is more for capability and versatility than refinement but this sound can be enough to make you go mad 1st thing in the morning, or after a long day at work. I also understand that top off, alpine cranked will āeliminateā the sound but thatās not always an option.
Dealer Visit #1 . Sounds normal.
Dealer visit #2. Oh yes, we hear it. Replaced Blower under warranty.
Still happening.
Recorded the sound on iPhone and played for service manager.
Dealer visit #3. Must have been a bad replacement Blower. Another installed under warranty
Dealer visit #4 Appointment scheduled for next week.
Any similar experiences or possible causes?
