Not in Houston, I’m in Graham, 100 miles NW of DFW, but I’m going to be in Colorado in August, and might run up there!Hey All, New Jeep owner here and new to the forums. I wanted to say hello and ask if anyone else in the Houston area is planning on going to the Jeep Jamboree in the Bighorn Mtns. in Wyoming in August.
Hey Joe,Not in Houston, I’m in Graham, 100 miles NW of DFW, but I’m going to be in Colorado in August, and might run up there!
I’ll google it, but please share info if so inclined, either here or PM.
My first Jeep too. Joe
Thanks, Brian! I’ll check it out and get back to you if I think I may go.Hey Joe,
It is August 15th - 17th. The location is just outside Dayton, WY. Two full days of guided wheeling through the Bighorn Mountains.
Here is a link to the site for more information and registration: https://jeepjamboreeusa.com/trip/10th-big-horn-mountains-2018/
Thanks, Brian! I’ll check it out and get back to you if I think I may go.
Hey Joe,Just read the website, Brian. Far too regimented for me!
Hope you have fun though!
Look forward to meeting you Ben.I'm not in Texas but I registered yesterday. Also for Mile High Jeep Clubs, All-4-Fun week.
Isn’t All-4-Fun in Buena Vista this year? Wouldn’t mind a trail report when you get back. Heading there shortly after the event. Also for Mile High Jeep Clubs, All-4-Fun week.
Just curious which trails are open, any closures etc.Yes it is. A weeks worth of trail reporting is too much for this old man haha
You are correct MrMischief. I was just trying to give a reference to the closest town as it is listed on the JJ website, but thank you for clarifying it for those who may be reading and interested in the trip. This isn't exactly accurate. I'm sure you know but I want to say something just in case you don't.... The Jamboree meet up point is at the Elk View Inn which is just south of Burgess Junction. It's about 25 miles, figure 40 minutes, from Dayton. From Dayton you head west up the mountain (which can have traffic and weather issues). I'd hate for you to be running a bit late and thinking you only need to get to Dayton when you actually have quite a bit farther to go.
