If its not unlocking with your key fob, its not recgnizing it. Somehow you reset or fried the computer to the point it needs to be reprogrammed or replaced would be my guess.

I would also suspect the small battery. There is another post somewhere on this form regarding a procedure to install a small jump wire to bypass the small battery. I'll see if I can dig it up.

But like JimLee said, does it lock and unlock with the fob?

Old batteries back in with no change. Tried the jumper wire. No luck.

Headlights / taillights / brakelights work. Horn blows. Dome lights on.

Jeep still will no “power up”

I am leaving with a group of guys Wednesday morning for a 11 day trip to Moab / Colorado. I ran the battery down a few times and wanted to be proactive so i decided to change both of my batteries before the trip. Everything with fine with the change until i tried to crank the jeep and nothing!
I have 12v because the dome light, dash light up, even the ARB has power. When i try to hit the start button it has no effect. Does not say FOB not detected. Tried to start by pushing with the FOB, but nothing. Another note is that the jeep does not appear to pick up either FOB. Will not lock/unlock doors, nor does the panic button work.

I am open to any and all suggestions. Panic is about to set in!
With the electronic symptoms you are describing here there is only two options. Actually really only one good option and that is to take your rig to certified mechanic and run the diagnostics on the Jeep. The other option is to buy the new Bronco and test it out in Utah so you can give us some fresh Bronco reviews.

I have some ocean front property in Colorado if you're interested.

Found the problem so no Bronco for me! Changing the Aux battery is a real pain in the ass! When plugging in the module one of the pins didn’t line up. Straightend the plug / reinstalled and she fired right up.

OP, I am very happy for you. This entire 3.6L ess implementation - from the motorcycle battery to having to remove the entire fuse box to get to it to all the other bullcr@p with it - will go down as a legendary engineering screw-up. the FCA manager that signed off on this design should lose his/her engineering license, IMO
