Head Gasket at 3000 Miles?

Came out to the garage Tuesday morning to find a dinner plate sized oil spot under the Jeep. Brought it to the dealer who tracked it down to the head gasket leaking? So it's now being torn apart for a new one. Ugh ...

Anyone else had an issue? Never heard of a bad head gasket with so few miles? Obviously something wasn't done correctly on the build right? A 2020 built in Sept with just 3000 miles on it.

My son just had his head gasket replaced today for $6,000. He has 700,000 miles on his engine. But he drives a semi.

Everything has been perfectly normal. No coolant loss. Oil looks normal and clean from what I can see with my eyes, about 2000 miles since the last (and only) change. Oil level looked a touch high and the dealer commented that they felt it was a 1/4 of a quart high. It has gotten very limited usage in the last few weeks due to working from home.

I had a leaky valve cover gasket at 5k miles.

Honestly, better it leaked now then out of warranty

3.6 - Got it back on Friday and it's been good. Just upset that this needed to be done on a basically new Jeep.

I'd be upset as well but at least if it was going to happen, it happened now because you have a lot of warranty left. I'd be more upset if it happened right before the warranty ended or even worse right after the warranty ended.

Sorry to hear that but that can happen even with the presidential limousine. And now I feel sorry for myself too. I guess I am not getting enough of depression kick from the Corona beast now I visit the Jeep forum and it's like the nukes are going off all over the place.. I need a drink. A Dios

30000 miles on my 2018 JL. kept getting a misfire in cylinder 6. dealer just diagnosed and told me faulty head gasket.
