A few months ago TFL bought a 1999 WJ with the 4.7 V8, Quadra-Drive and 225,000 miles on it, for $2,500.

With the exception of a transmission light, the Grand Cherokee ran perfectly. Everything worked, and the interior had held up surprisingly well.

That's great to know! Ours needs to get my boy through college, so I need about 100k miles of life from it. We've been running Mobil 1 High Mileage 5w30 in it for 5k changes. That should give it a good shot at 300k. The previous owner did quickie changes at every 3k miles. He used dino oil but it would have done fine with such short intervals.

So the boot covers for the cv are the issue The quest I would ask is how thick are the rubber cv boots and does anyone make an aftermarket cover made out of heavy duty. Fabric. Like say Kevlar. Or ballasitic nylon ( is that even a thing). But you get. My drift
