It still has a traditional starter. It is used when you first start the Jeep.
The 48 volt coolent system is separate from the engine. If a line breaks the engine is still functional, just eTorque is disabled.
E torque is part of the advertized rated torque numbers they put out.

What are you talking about now? eTorque is active at the very start of throttle application but the engine is providing all of the torque at the RPM range you'd be using it at. Go look at the torque curve on dyno runs in which eTorque isn't enabled. Don't spread FUD.

No.
If you want to bash on something, at least get your facts right.

You prob know a lot about that driving a Ford and all...
You probably know a lot about ad hominem attacks, making ad hominem attacks and all...

Where are you getting this? The "advertized" torque is the peak torque, which is at around 3500rpm. The bsg has already cut off by 1500-1900rpm.

I love my 2.0 Turbo, Put the rims on the first day I had it.
May I ask what rims you have? I think these would good on my Rubicon Sting-Gray!

2.0 Turbo is great! Quick, efficient, sounds great stock. Have a heavy foot and been getting around 19-20mpg in the city. Highway, I’ve seen up to 26mpg. Really not too bad filling up with Premium fuel. Here I have 93octane really about $3.00 per tank than regular fuel. Just hit over 1000 miles and have had it for almost two weeks! Love it!

I went off-roading to a nearby recreational off-road park this past weekend. I have about 1500miles on mine (red JLUR above). I really tested the capabilities of the Rubicon. Went through some good mud, water, rock climbs etc. I noticed since then when accelerating the Jeep makes a loud electric whirring sound all the time. Anyone know the cause of this?

Anything would help! Thank you!

Might be the electric water pump for the 48v battery.

Got mine yesterday. I've put about 200 miles on it. This is my 12th Jeep, obviously my first turbo. Absolutely love it. Very "peppy". Had a 78 CJ5 w/sbc 350, and it's the only one that felt quicker. Runnin about 22.5 mpg. I realize there may be problems with the 1st year of production, but that's what the warranty is for. I'll probably sell it for another by then anyway!

Been about 10 days... the torque on the low end is a little "herky jerky" with the automatic. especially when combined with the auto start stop. Plenty of top end as well.. Ours is a Rubi U

Strange, mine is super smooth even with the start/stop.

Love my brand new Wrangler JLU SAHARA 2.0 except for a very annoying issue that started about a week ago. Whenever I start the truck with the push to start button, the audio keep skipping ever 2 seconds which makes the entertainment system completely unusable (doesn't occur when I remote start the vehicle)... Very annoying for a 60k$ vehicule with barely 1000 miles on it =( ...

Still no actual help from FCA or Jeep Care.
