Snow is over but wind still blowing. Needed to go into 4L to get out of my garage. Think may need to replace the KO2s with Duratracs if we have another snowy winter next year.

yep, here in Vegas stupidity is the norm. On average, I get about one person a day doing an illegal uturn in front of me. 2 last night on my 1.8 mile commute home from work. And I've lost count with how many peds I have almost hit(ok not really, but I do get intentionally close) from people crossing without looking up from their phone, or just casually jaywalking expecting me to stop.

We will end the month here second, being 3" short of the, snowiest Feb In 70 years (when they started records) because our next snow comes on March 1. We are 5" away from snowiest season (in second now) and will probably pass it in the next 2 weeks. Temperature records since 1880 we are 7th coldest February at average of 20° (-8 this morning, high of 11 which is 33° below average) and may climb to number 6 but #1 was 130 years ago with average for the month of 8°.

I’ve looked like a sissy then 1976........I was always responsible for driving my mom and sisters during conditions that prevented the use of their cars. I’ve never been stuck in the snow and I have pulled countless cars, trucks and suv’s That were stuck in the snow.
Yes your correct....they look sissy, you can’t drive at speed with chains.....but dollar for dollar, you can’t beat snow chains for traction in the winter. Now that I am older though...... I see the distinct advantage for an excuse for NEEDING bigger, more aggressive tires...... It’s all good....I was always thanked for helping those stuck in the snow and no one ever mentioned my Jeep looking like a sissy

I work in Orla off of 652 about 5mikes from the 4way stop. It’s a lovely place. Sarcasm inserted. We use to go through there years ago on our way to CO to go elk hunting, you would never pass another car.

Have you been out to GUMO? There is one off road trail there. It's not Big Bend, but it's something and you're pretty close!

The new movie out, Cold Pursuit, is about a snow plow driver in Colorado and his son is killed by a drug dealer. Shows him cutting a single lane path through snow taller than his truck. He also slams into a 4 door Wrangler driven by drug dealers and sends it falling down the mountain. Wish Jeep made better vehicles.
