Somebody earlier said $1800 That's about right $1,800 a month... Really I'm thinking about $7500 But roger the mistakes. I sold off a set of 33's and tube doors that didn't work out. I have been so busy I haven't added parts sitting in garage. 2 sets of bumper lights, a sub-woofer, and most of all an e- locker for the rear end...

Only $550 so far for a winch. Due to supply issues, I had to build a front bumper and winch plate and rear cargo box myself.

I do have $1,000 in used axles for my CJ I need to get around to putting on it.

You guys are nuts... I got tired of mud on the doors, so I spent $225 on side steps.

But then again, the first thing I did was take the back seat out, so I'm calling it a wash.

It's been a week and I've spent about $1,500.

So far not too bad. Floor mats, rockblox mudflaps, screen protector, few cleaning supplies. Thats it so far, only had her 2 months. Plan on keeping things stock for a year or so to see what I need.

The first rule of mod costs is that we don't talk about mod costs.
True! Here on the Forum is OK ( a safe zone) but home, friends and family, no way.

Yeah, I was debating this the other day, because a little bit of me wants to see how the 4xe ages and possibly jump into one in '24 or later. So far, I haven't gone too crazy because I started this time with a Rubi, in '07 when I bought a very basic X - I swapped the tiny tires/wheels out right away.

'21 Rubi - $43k OTD (taxes, tags, everything)
Insurance didn't really change even with adding collision back on - roughly $500/year
Armorlite - Front/Rear - $675
Bedtred - Cargo - $300
Bartact - Front/Rear - $675
Updated recovery equipment - Shovel, traction boards (a lot of mud where I am), kinetic rope - $300
Deepsleep Mattress - $150
Bags for Doors - $200
Bikini Top - $100 (found an open box on the actual top, not a thing wrong with it)

Next up:
New front bumper, maybe a winch - $1500 or so
Portable air compressor -$100
Maybe the Bestop Sunrider Hardtop - $700

So roughly $3k already (since November) - yeah I think I'm keeping this one for 15 years like my JK.

I once did this with my old XJuggy. It was close to $50,000 over the course of 12 years at that point. All the work had been done myself or for the cost of materials and beer with friends. After that I decided never to add up mod cost again and just enjoy my vehicle hobby.

With tires, re-gear, full lift, axles, etc. about 17k the last time I added it up. Only spent 29k on the Jeep initially LOL.
