I doubt it will be driven much at all but he does build some amazing machines and always has innovative ideas/designs.nice, clean build. probably way more power than is usable. daytime only driver i presume?
see post#5I can never figure out these rock sliders...wouldn't you rather have a smooth surface to slide instead of ones that have hardware sticking out every foot or so???
I have seen other people on this forum with his sliders though so my question still is valid. I understand most people won't offroad their Jeep where this would matter, but it still seems like a poor design.see post#5
Fair point, yeah I don't get it either. They seem worthless for what they are intended for.I have seen other people on this forum with his sliders though so my question still is valid. I understand most people won't offroad their Jeep where this would matter, but it still seems like a poor design.
Why a snorkel when you have dual RAM-small-birds-in-with-all-that-air intakes too? That’s a slick snorkel setup.
To your point: yes, a smooth surface will slide better. At least the bolts are tapered and the underside will see more rocks than the outer face where the bolts are located. They appear to be just accents.I can never figure out these rock sliders...wouldn't you rather have a smooth surface to slide instead of ones that have hardware sticking out every foot or so???
I just picked up and installed these rock sliders. The button bolts are optional. It does not come with them installed. I installed them, from a visual perspective they tie in with the button bolts on the Mopar steel bumper I have.I can never figure out these rock sliders...wouldn't you rather have a smooth surface to slide instead of ones that have hardware sticking out every foot or so???
I like the concept of the Rigid mirrors. I'm actually trying to figure out a way to add some decent, yet low profile, light to my stock mirrorsI both love and hate this build. The poor Jeep looks shocked! Like
The Rigid mirrors are pretty cool. Not sure how I feel about the rest of it
I looked up the mirrors. Looks like you have to figure out a way to mount them since they're not really made specifically for a vehicle. Looking closely at the picture, it looks like they removed the stock mirror and added some sort of post to mount it. Probably not the best long-term solutionI like the concept of the Rigid mirrors.
