So my jeeps been in the shop 5 times totaling almost a month in the 4 months ive owned it. 4 for steering, one for soft top rattle and now my alternator and battery just got replaced. I called Jeep wave explaining how aggravated i am and requested a reimbursement for a monthly payment and for someone to call me back to discuss a buyback. I sent them a screenshot of my monthly payment and got a response in two days stating they just accepted the reimbursement and are sending me a check.

Hope this helps someone else get some money back

I’m feeling the pain of some of you guys. I’ve Had my 18 Sport S since July of 2018. My first issue was loose steering, a flash made that better. I’ve been in multiple times for death wobble issues and recently had my steering froze a couple times going around a curve. My steering dampener has been replaced 2 times, which I feel like is a temporary fix. After being told there was nothing that could be done a couple times I’ve just limped through it thinking it was a Jeep thing (multiple Jeep products in the past, this is my first Wrangler).

Since they couldn’t reproduce the wheel freeze there was no fix.

I was called in for the weld recall, then had to take it back a second time. They said it was ok.

The tipping point was a couple weeks ago when I had the freeze up and some pretty bad wobble in the same weekend.

Im now working with Jeep Cares to set another appointment. I just don’t feel safe with the family in this ride anymore, and I’m teaching one of my kids to drive right now.

Has anyone gotten out of their lease with these issues? I’ve never had these kind of issues with a new car that just don’t feel safe. I just don’t get it to the garage that much because I need my car and I have to work.

So the end question is: Has anyone been offered buyback for steering issues and death wobble?

also can someone PM me Manley’s info in case the Jeep Cares route does not work.

Thanks in advance

Jeep FCA ignorned my certified letters, but sent a response to the state attorney about my case. Luckily the state attorney is nice and has forwarded me the response.

Their response to the SA lied!

It says they saw my car and AS A RESPONSE to my letter had some specialist look at my JL to fix, and didn't find any problem.

However, my car last left the shop over 3 days before I ever sent my letter in.

I'm kind of confused on the next step. Nobody on the internet seems to have had this happen.

It most likely wasn't malicious, more of an oversight by a guy who filled my name into a generic response form.

Now I'm pissed. I was a life long Jeep fan, now....

So, where do I go from here.

I've had to take my jeep in over 4 times as well for steering and Jeep has yet to solve the problem of the power steering going out and then randomly coming back on. Very dangerous. Could you please share the number or email you called? I'm over @JeepCares not helping at all.
