Has anyone brought in the 2018 JL to the dealership to have this known issue corrected successfully? (Small tabs at bottom of rear soft top window popping out) I have read on these forums that the issue seems to be corrected on 2019 models. I'm just wondering if the dealers can retro fit the solution onto at a 2018. I just want to know ahead of time before calling my dealer in the event they try and tell me they can't fix it.

On a side note, I can see why yours would fall out. Compare yours to the pic of mine, I have no problems at all...

They still pop out on the 2019. Not that big of a deal to me. I just pop them back as I'm headed to the driver's seat. First World problems :like:

Looks like his tabs broke or were sewn in too far making them short.

I have the same issue, but just on the driver side. I was thinking of stuffing a small piece of foam window weather stripping underneath to see if that holds it in.

Mine for fixed, the first few batches of tops were like that. They redid the top afterwards

I thought I was the only person that had this issue. It's really not a big deal though. I just tuck them back in from time to time. No water gets in.

I decided to apply some rubber weather stripping. This seems to hold the clips(?) in place a little better. No rattle sound when on the highway, either.

I had that problem frequently with the flaps on the original back window popping out. That top developed some bad water spots that seemed like they were in the material itself...no amount of cleaning would do anything. Since the other windows showed no signs of that, I asked the dealer if they had any suggestions, and to my surprise, they just replaced the back window panel. Never even mentioned the tabs popping out.

FF about a month with the new back panel, I noticed when I took the top off for the first time last night, that those tabs had stayed put since they installed it. Don't know if the new panel was different in any way, but was surprised that they hadn't popped out.

I have the opposite problem. Mine look like robaw’s and are a beast to get undone.
Agree, mine are the longer plastic as well and I have no problem with popping out, in fact my passenger side is ridiculously hard to pull out and I swear I am going to rip stitching at some point.

I didn't really care about it not staying in at first, but now its starting to catch on the tailgate and ripping the back panel.

Hi JL FTWORTH,
If you decide to have your dealer address this, please send our team a private message and we would be happy to add an additional layer of assistance to this process.
