Has anyone painted the MC gold zinc?

Thinking about ordering some MC gear, but i am not a fan of the gold zinc. I would want to paint. Has anyone painted them or had experience painting that type of metal?

Its just a plating process. All you need to do is scuff it with scotch brite, clean with acetone, and paint. A good primer might help with adhesion.

I wouldn’t go crazy with prep besides removing all the oil and film. The zinc plating is fine to paint. I’d recommend using a quality primer and paint
