About to pull the trigger on a T case.
need to know if there’s anything quirky about the install. Do I have to do any updates with the tazer?
Also, what are 2.72 cases selling for? I’ve looked on EBay but man it’s hard to tell the difference between the two of them

thanks

Yes. The Rubicon transfer case has a different gear ratio. You need to let the vehicle know the new ratio after the swap.

I’ve been thinking of doing this as well, however I’m not sure the correct part number to go with for the rubi case. I’m also having 5.13’s installed on June 1, so I’m waiting to see how it performs before I replace the transfer case. As far as resale value on the sport transfer case, I don’t think there is much of a market there unless somebody destroyed one and it’s just looking for a cheap replacement.

Make sure you get the right one for your transmission(auto/Manual), other than that it should be a direct swap.
I found one from a 2.0 rubicon and I have the 2.0 sahara so it should be an easy switch.
my 4low first gear sucks in the turbo that’s why I’m swapping in the t case

Im not happy with the 1st gear in 4low with the 2.0. Feels jumpy as hell and need to left foot brake on the rocks

I feel that way as well on some obstacles, however I am on 410s right now, I am going to 5.13’s which I think will help a lot with that. What gears are you currently running?

Your Sahara doesn’t have the selec-trac transfer case does it?

No I have the command trac
So long as the drive shafts bolt up you shouldn't have a problem then. Just be sure to program it or your ABS system is going to freak out when you go to 4L.
