Has anyone broken their center console release tab yet?

The main release tab on the center console (the one that opens to access the main compartment) has broken on my 1 month old JLU. I think I managed to shove it back together, but I have no idea how long it will last. Has any one had this issue yet? I know it's minor, but seriously... ONE month of ownership. The tab was crooked and the pin wasn't making contact with the hole on one side where the spring is. There's no way to push that pin back into the hole while everything else is connected.

Wife broke mine / lost the spring. Took it apart and installed a spring off of a mouse trap with some added superglue on the end of the chrome post. Works great.

Mine broke so they replaced the entire top of the center console. When I went to leave the lot I noticed they'd not put in my lock tumbler thingy. I guess swapping it out isn't easy. It took some time to finally get things squared away. Anyway, just be sure they don't forget your lock too.

The said on my '19 JLUR failed in the first week. Dealership said that they would order a new part and fix.

Got tired of waiting for the call from the dealer. Fixed it myself. Some 4 months and 8,000 miles later, it is working as it should. The dealer has yet to call.

Unfortunately, i had the same thing happen. I use my centre console quite regularly for connecting my phone for Apple CarPlay. After only 3 weeks, the handle broke. I have tried fixing it but no luck yet. I will give it one last try, then take it back to the dealership. This is very frustrating.

FYI their remedy is to order a new console lid and it's a waiting game for the part. Mine is supposed to arrive in late May. Sadly, I have larger issues to be dealing with at the moment.

Mine broke on my new Jeep within the first few weeks of owning it - so certainly not from overuse. I finally made it by the dealer to see about getting it fixed and was told it was on backorder - no ESD. I overheard them saying they have seen this a lot.

My hope is that Jeep is looking at a more permanent fix for the future, because I'm guessing after I get it repaired it will end up failing again within a month or two.

Actually - just saw the other thread posted here - curious that the TSB was not mentioned at my visit to dealer, but assume new part will fix this long term now...unless I go ahead and try the fix myself.
