Has anyone added a Rear gate door inside latch release?

I slept in the back last Friday night. It was just awkward getting in and out of the side rear door. Is there a way to attach a pull tab like the safety trunk pull in cars so that I can open the gate from the inside?

ive searched some but not exhaustivly.

I read on here about someone doing that. I think that it was in the thread about the key lock being omitted from the swing gate.
