Hi All,
I'm in the process of tracking down a Mopar Tubular Steel Front Bumper for my '21 Rubicon with the factory plastic bumpers. I was hoping to find a used one thinking any of the factory steel bumpers would be interchangeable, but those look to be few and far between right now.
There was another thread on this forum where some folks had success saving quite a bit of money by buying the individual components of the steel bumper. Where I'm running into trouble going down that road is in the hardware. I'm under the impression you need to buy all the fasteners separately, but I couldn't find any confirmation of what's needed besides what is used for the skid plate brackets, when I took my educated guess from looking at pictures, what I ended up with looks nearly as expensive as the complete assembly already built and ready to bolt on. I don't want to resurrect an old thread, so has anyone here recently managed to successfully pull this off? I have a table below with everything I think I need to build up the steel front bumper while reusing as much of the stock plastic one as I can (again, the fasteners are largely guesses). Maybe there's more hardware included with each component than the pictures indicate?
Thank you all for your help!
