Yes it does that because the gutter ends at the windshield, and the Jeep has a little bit of a forward rake so it points down when on level ground
Exactly. Hopefully there is some solution somewhere that solves it.
Rain shields work well, until you open the door.

Apparently there is already a number of threads on this issue. Maybe there will be some useful information there.

Yep, well discussed here. I blocked the end of the channel with black RTV sealant. Helps in light rain....not so much when pouring.

My TJ never did this.
What a terrible bunch of responses.
Jeepers have always been friendly whether to a "mall crawler" or not. Looks to me like the internet anonymity has gone to your heads.
How rude, all of you.

A brief browse and all I saw were a bunch of rude responses and childish words.
Nothing intelligent or useful there. Just inconsiderate and insulting people.

That is a good idea. I will look into doing that. Might at least work well enough for me till something better comes along.
Thanks for the idea!

A lot of apologists.

Yes its a rugged offroad vehicle, and you're all very tough and all, but i dont think its reasonable for a 50K vehicle to have an obvious design flaw (that 5 minutes of rain testing should have caught) that makes it look like you pissed your pants every time you drive it in the rain. As for the "wimpy mall crawlers" i guess you're not allowed to buy the vehicle you want unless you use it the way these guys want you to use it. Cant just enjoy the way it drives and looks... have to be a hardcore offroader who arrives at work in my office everyday covered in mud and rain because i made a detour through my local frikkin canyon right?

I hate it when it rains as well. It's like a river is running into the floorboard when you open the door. Bad design.

It’s a trade off. If you extended the gutters enough to clear, you’d have these weird projections on the top or freedom panels, waiting to be broken off, then the complaining would be about that.

I'm sure some good engineers could have figured this problem out. Recessed/flush drip rail design perhaps.

With this said, it is such an immediately apparent problem that I think Jeep knew about it and chose to ignore it rather than this being a failure in design.

It would be expensive as a solution, but the waterfall slowed to a slight drip when I installed my Sunrider for hardtop.

I am sorry @Garrocha21. You will find on this site, that there are 1000x more opinions than facts. Oh and one more thing. Everyone is correct all the time.

Why does everybody-ASK FOR FORGIVENESS by saying "I LOVE MY JEEP, BUT"--

I don't love my jeep, I love my wife and REALLY ENJOY my jeep/s-

Get an umbrella and have it "READY TO OPEN" when leaving the jeep in rain-

When it rains HEAVY I don't drive the jeep, I drive the RAM-

Everybody's gotta story
