I tried it, not aesthetically perfect but functional as intended.

That does not look tragic at all. Please update on how it handles after a bit of usage.
I mean really looks like you did a decent job on it. I'll try something similar and post about it once I'm done.

Drill a hole in the gutter over the rear door.

Bought SUGRU moldable glue for this, just haven't had time yet to do it yet.

From some other threads it appears to work just fine

This is an idea for hard tops only, but what if you took a small fiberglass ridge and stuck it to the top of the hardtop to sort of act as a diverter or dam to prevent water from even reaching the gutters? It wouldn't need to be very tall, maybe 1/4 at most? Just enough to divert water towards the windshield when you come to a stop. It would obviously need to be in two pieces to accommodate the freedom panels.

Maybe a good excuse to install a roof rack that mounts on the gutters at the font. This will block the passage way.

I think someone crafty with fiberglass could make an aesthetically pleasing, yet functional solution.

It’s a Jeep and it is designed to be topless, noisy, driven in the mud and climbing to the top of mountains. If you wanted a trendy mall crawler you’re going to get wet when it rains.

If anyone doesn’t understand what they bought I suggest you immediately trade it in for a Rav4.
Uh... yes, but... if I pay $50K for a fully loaded JL Rubicon, have hoseable heated seats _and_ heated steering wheel, it talks to my iPhone, electric proximity detectors, and any number of other options... it should frakking _NOT_ drop a gallon of water on my legs for that price.

My 2014 Corvette Convertible Z51 doesn’t and I’d expect them not to deal with inclement environment conditions as well.

My $16K Smart ForTwo doesn’t. Maybe Chrysler can learn a thing or two from a car 1/3 the cost... go talk to Mercedes Benz.

Jeep boasted that they put 3 million miles on the JL before sales. Maybe they should have driven a couple miles around Toledo or Detroit!

An attachment to redirect or block the water from the front opening of the gutter; that does not look like a wad of gum.
C'mon man, if I knew how to do that kind of stuff, or had the time, I would be selling the crap out of it to people like me.
