Hardtop harness port cover - Im dumb

Too rough removing harness, and broke the locking tab off my harness for the hardtop. Dont do what I did, be SURE to pull only on red release tab and do not pull too hard, this tab on bottom side isn’t industrial strength.

Hoping someone else has done this? More importantly- can you source another from Jeep?

Check around before you pay $31.00+ for that part. I have seen it in the recent past, on eBAY, being sold for just over $21 which included fee shipping. Do shop around for it.

At least two other forum member's in the past year, did as you and broke it.

Same. I can't even tell if the red tab is required. It's a pain to remove the plug without it. Any luck finding a part number?

Can anybody tell me how to remove it? I tried pulling it out but I didn't want to break anything further. Any tips or a diy guide would be great thanks.

OK - so this happened to me as well, though I don't have a rattle thankfully. So 2 question for all:
1. the piece that brakes allowing the plug to hang is in the housing?
2. if so, how does 1 remove and replace the housing?

So, has anybody installed this? any tips or tricks? Honestly, I may just leave it all alone as the hanging connection doesn't rattle or make any noise. I don't like that it looks broken tho
