Hard wired brake controller

My JL did NOT come with the factory tow option. I installed the wiring harness myself and just hard wired in a brake controller. Since I don’t have the factory tow package, I don’t have a harness for the brake controller.

Unfortunately, the controller is not working. I can get the trailer brakes to work via the manual override, but they don’t activate with my brake pedal. I wired it in to the brake pedal harness (green wire w/brown tracer) per the direction of Brandon (Jeep Informer).

Has anyone else successfully added a brake controller?

First thing I would try is to get a multimeter and get a signal reading from the green w/brown wire when applying the brakes. You need to find out if you are actually getting a signal to the controller.
