I recently wired a dash cam, but I have auxiliary switches, and carried the dashcam's cable to the passenger side and wired it to the cables there.

Thanks. Would you have a write-up of this by any chance?

I wrote up something quick here. My cam was installed to the driver side of the ACC box. The cables were easily passed thru the box along the top of the window frame with a fish tape (I used a long 1/4" socket extension just happen to be around).

Thanks. That was helpful.

It does and that's what I'm thinking of tapping into. All the videos I've seen are of the access from the hood but I believe there is an access at the passenger foot area as well. Would you happen to have some pics or link to video where the access it at passenger foot area for interior accessories?

I went a much easier route, I tapped into the wiring for the rearview mirror and installed a USB port. Then plugged the camera into the USB port. Mind you I took down the rearview mirror as I can't see out of it anyways with the big tire on the back.

Read through this whole thread for the info you need in regard to the Aux bundle found in the passenger side foot well.

Typically it's right behind the glove box (remove it). It's hard to spot at first, just a bundle of wires taped up (in black cloth-like tape) in a bundle, with the end folded onto itself.

Yep, just tapped into #5 in the aux harness. It is a 10 amp ignition switched hot that doesn't waste one of your aux buttons. Works great, you can run the wire up the a pillar and tuck the wires around the upper frame of the windshield in order to hide all your wiring.
