Is this mostly a 4 door issue? I have a 2 door and think it's really quiet. A hell of a lot quieter than my daughters Jetta inside.
I think it's most likely a QC issue.

Bought some Hushmat tape over the weekend and installed yesterday morning.

Wind turbulence noise decreased. Will upload pictures.
I have cut down some noise using 3/4" foam backer rod material, found in the insulation section of Menards. I placed it along the inside edge of the window where it meets the support post, tucking it into any crevice that would possibly allow air flow. The material comes in gray or black.

Can you post a pic of this, I would like to try it but not sure where you are putting it, I have thought about lowering the windshield and run insulation along the top and then bolt it back down

You can also see the smaller backer rod that's at the bottom of the window.

Did you lower the windshield to install this or just tuck it in along the edge

Thank you for taking the time to post a pic, I am wondering if one were to lower the windshield and then lay thin piece of foam insulation across the top where the bolts come thru for the windshield if that would help along with doing what you did.

Where did you install the tape at?
I put two 2" long strips (1 for each panel) along the leading edge of the panels from the dip in the corner out to about where the header seal transitions from one material to another. this was due to the observation that where these two different materials meet, the seal seems to dip down. Additionally, I noticed that there's small gaps at the same point between header seal and windshield frame/header. Taking in to dealer to see about having entire header seal replaced and if not, having RTV put between header and header seal.

Can you send some pics? Did it solve the problem?

I'll post some pictures on Friday (that's the next warm day we have out here).
I think it helped, but I wouldn't call it fixed yet. Will try to run with some tape on the header seal to see if my suspicions are true.

I'm new to Jeeps and chose the Hard Top Rubicon as my new rig. I'm actually very much OK with the hard top and don't think much of the wind. I do have the liners installed, however, when I'm in a strong crosswind it's a bit of a different story. I'm still very much happy with my choice of the hard top.

I have the whistle noise coming from my hard top (only generates at 45mph or higher) and after reading this thread for months I've tried every adjustment recommended. Based on its central location (essentially the gap where the freedom panels meet) I was convinced it had to be the position of the panels - I tried to make sure they were perfectly aligned assuming turbulence may be causing the noise. I experimented with clamping them down more, then less... all to no avail. Was ready to write it off as cross wind and nothing more I could do. Then today after a wash I decided to tape the entire rubber gasket around the windshield went for a drive and bingo no more noise! On the way back I removed the tape and whistle returned. I recall another forum member taping his windshield but can't remember the outcome. Off to the dealership this week to see if I can get it resolved.
Hi I just saw this and I am thinking I might be the other forum member you mentioned? I had the whistling noise and did tape my windshield to try and isolate it. Long story short, the dealer ended up trimming the gasket around the windshield and after that I’m happy to say the whistling was gone and has not returned. I hope this helps.
