I too am battling some noise from windshield or hardtop. I made a short clip on it, its driving me nuts, so nuts it makes me want to sell this thing. I have not adjusted any of the bolts where the top clamps too, from looking at everything it looks pretty even and there is no gap between the top and the windshield seal. My sound is definitely coming from the top of the windshield.

You try the dealer on yours? Find it hard to believe a dealer would try the failure to replicate crap on that. That's pretty bad surprised if there's not a seal pinched somewhere around your windshield.

I scheduled a time 2 weeks out with the dealer, in that time I went off road with the tops off and when i put the tops back on the sound went away. So the dealer knew and by the time i got it to them it was gone, so I didnt have them look at it. After getting it back from the dealer for another issue the sound came back, it is seriously driving me crazy lol.

I was a little surprised at the wind noise considering mine is a 19', my 11'LR4 is dead silent with 100k on the clock. I just kinda sum it to its a rolling brick and that's character talking to on the freeway.

If you mean you had just the freedom panels off and not the whole top and when you put the freedom panels back on the noise was gone, you've already isolated your issue. Somewhere earlier in this thread were some posts about adjusting hardware to lock the panels down tighter.

Pick mine up yesterday from the dealer had them put the new track bar on and it's same time the pillar back buy the freedom panel in the rear of it was making noise and they lubricated it and fix it. The noise is gone

yeah I think I found a youtube video of it.

I have not adjusted it cause i dont want to make things worse. I took the alien sunshade off to get a better look at things, but all the seals and everything seem fine, I might try some soapy water on the seals and a leaf blower to see if i can find where its coming from.

Good luck. from the sound of the wind whistling you'd have a hard time making it worse.

I just purchase a 2018 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited Rubicon and I too am having a lot of wind noise and a lot of popping in the windshield. Is this something the dealership will fix?

We do recommend visiting your servicing Jeep dealer for a diagnosis. We would be happy to have a case escalated for additional support while in your Jeep is at the dealer. Please connect with us via PM once you have an appointment.

So after messing with the freedom panels, it still does it. But its intermittent, but sometimes it does it a lot and its just crazy noisy. The dealer said that it would be hard to find if its intermittent, they didnt look at it the first time cause the issue resolved itself after fiddling with the Freedom Panels. Im waiting on parts for something else that is broken and at that time will have them look at it. I get that its a jeep and all the panels are removable, but it should not be doing this, so much so i no longer want to drive it lol.

My 2020 JLUR is having the same issue. It only whistles on windy days and the dealer can’t replicate it .

Some of you all have too high expectations. These are rolling bricks and the bottom line is the Freedom top is a thin layer of fiberglass. Theres no sound deadening properties to it. Then theres the lack of aerodynamics. You literally can hear the jeep PUSHING AIR as you drive. Nothing will make your jeeps quiet unless you rebuild a new double layer hard top with sound deadening mat in between.

For starters the Seals around the doors are weak and almost non existent. You an hear the outside noise even at a stop light because theres no insulation between the door. Heck you can stick your hand in between the door and door frame.
