Hard top seal maintenance during the summer?

First full summer with the Jeep, and I plan to keep the hard top off aside from the rare roadtrip. Having this thing hanging in my hot garage all summer has me concerned about the seal along the bottom drying out, becoming brittle, etc.

Am I crazy, or does anyone have a recommendation for a lubricant or other "thing" I should put on the seal to keep it "fresh"?
