Anyone have pics of their 2 dr hard top Lift set? Dyi or bought.

All I see are 4 dr ones when I search. Me and the wife took mine off today. Was a little awkward as I'm 6 2 and she's 5 4 but we got it done.

I'm thinking for next spring though so I don't have to rely on her.

That is what I bought, as well. I'm a fan. I can pull the top and move it around the garage, I can store it with the top lowered and propped up to take up less space, and I can hang the doors on it. Perfect.

The Top Lift Pro is more expensive (maybe that is the $1K lift you are thinking of). But, since it lifts the top from inside rather than suspending it from above, it requires less headroom. That could be a concern for small garages.

No pics handy, but I use a Freedom Jack. Works awesome, worth every cent.

I purchased the Roll N Jack and love it. I found it on Amazon with free shipping. The price was $750 with free shipping. The first method of hardtop removal I used was getting help from a neighbor and simply sitting the hardtop on the floor using 4x4 pieces of wood. It worked, but I could not do it by myself and it took up a lot of room in my garage.

I looked at the Top Lift Pro, which was more expensive, had good reviews and looked like a fine product. However, I liked the simplicity of putting together the Roll N Jack out of the box. I am not a mechanic and I found the Roll N Jack to be super sturdy and very simple to assemble. No cables to adjust. It was just straight forward. You don't have to be mechanically inclined to assemble this product, which was a big selling point with me.

Once the hardtop is on the lift, you have the option to install a 5th safety support arm. Once you do that, your hardtop is not going anywhere. It is very sturdy. Since I don't plan on parking under the hardtop, I then lowered the hardtop as low as it would go to make things ever more stable. I can now wheel the hardtop around my garage with ease and complete confidence that unless I do something stupid, there should be no issues.

I highly recommend this product.

If money wasn't a concern I'd get the top lift pro. Seems fast and easy. But how it is I found a racor storage rack on craigslist for cheap, and I use that as my hoist. I then went fancy and got a kit from topsy to hook the top to the racor. So far it has worked well enough for me.
