Guys, please help me out to be on the safe side.

Can you please post the MODEL NUMBER (or link) of the Warn winch plate and the Poison Spyder spacers?

That's all, or anything else needed? How/where do you mount your license plate?

- Thank you.

Opps, I am a bit confused on..

Are you having the Warn or Maximus plate installed on your grey JL (photos)?

If Maximus, any spacers or other stuff needed?

Just seeing the part about license plate. The warn plate comes with a mount for this. As for other things you need, you will probably need longer bolts for both mounting the winch to the plate from underneath and also securing the hawse fairlead to the Warn plate and bumper.

Nope, I have the Warn Winch Plate. The stuff I bought from Maximus was just a trim filler plate to hide the gap created by removing the plastic trim. It serves no purpose except my Jeep’s vanity. That said, I think someone on this thread tried the Maximus winch plate with the spacers and it still didn’t work. So I wouldn’t get the Maximus winch plate if I were you.

Hi all, great thread. Just installed mine today/tonight on a steel oem bumper using the rock hard 4x4 winch plate (read about in the gladiator forum) . No issues with clutch handle clearance or skid plate holes lining up. Decided not to rerun the hot wire out the side, and that is very tight on the grill.

Still need to wire it up tomorrow. Did have one small issue, the welded on nut at the rear of the winch plate is painted along with the rest, and I couldn't get the support bolt to thread in, started to strip the bolt. Not pulling the bumper back off now, I'm thinking I'll pick up a tap and chase it.

Thanks again for all your feedback. I finally got the parts together now.

Question: Where do the Poison Spyder spacer go? Under the winch?

yes under the feet....my bolts just barely grabbed ..but did. you could get longer bolts at the hardware store of your choice...not much bigger maybe 1/4" at the most. Just to be on the safe side so your not caught with everything off and you can't get them threaded. Congratz ...I love mine, you will too.

I am in the middle if the installation and stuck. No bold fits the winch on the bottom. Or do I do something wrong?

THANKS in advance.

Check post 148 on this thread. Make sure you buy the proper metric thread pitch on your new bolts or they won’t screw in.

Thanks, finally made it!

My goodness, without a winch installation manual it’s pretty “tricky” but eventually I figured it out.

😅✌

Oh yes, definitely. I had to remove the bumper twice when I did it. Not fun. There is a pretty good write up on the warn winch plate install on here but they use a warn zeon winch so eventually you get to a point where the directions aren't helpful anymore. Glad you finally got it in!
