Skip it. Those types of safes have exploits that a criminal could use to bypass the lock and steal the weapon.
Thanks for the note, I hear that... Do you think this can work with a hard top setup? With the cars security system?

Vehicle alarms get ignored when they go off. Do you plan on leaving your weapon in your vehicle for extended periods of time? If so there are better secured storage solutions available.

Keep in mind that if you plan on leaving your weapon permanently if the safe, if worse comes to worse, you will have fractions of seconds to react. You sadly won’t have time to fumble with a security lock, pull out a weapon, load a round in the chamber, release the safety, aim and fire.

Get a gun magnet and put it on top of the center of your sound bar. No one breaking into a car with seconds to check the console, glove box and under the seats will ever find it. Plus you can reach it quick if needed. This only works with the top on BTW. A safe in plain sight is too much of a temptation.
