Thanks man. Iā€™m still trying to verify that this is what Iā€™m experiencing. Seems like it comes from the front but I had a buddy walking beside the vehicle while I tried to get it to do it and he did notice it come from front and back and actually saw the drivers side rear wheel act like it was hopping or being caught by something but man does it sound like something is wrong.can this really be normal???

I'm not sore, but I don't belive the system is front axle specific so it might be what you're seeing.

Add me to the list. Just joined this forum since this thread had the most info and a large qty of owners with common issues. Iā€™m on quite a few FB groups, forums, and in the Offroad industry. Iā€™ve been in discussion with multiple dealers havin same issue most of us are having here. the dealer Iā€™m at is in agreement with me and diagnostics points to new front axle assembly needed.

2021 Rubicon, 3.6 e-torque, auto
3,000 miles first time Offroad, serv 4wd, serv locker lights.
front locker sensor is bad and needs a new Front axle assembly. Not available. Front end binds up in 4lo and metal on metal sound. Iā€™ve had to put the t-case in neutral and back, than back up. Itā€™s like the brakes were on full and I couldnā€™t move forward or backwards until put in neutral.

all of this while Iā€™m on a trip 1000 miles from home and 4500 miles from finishing the trip In remote areas.

JeepCares has been involved and a case # has been ā€˜in the worksā€™, but parts not available Until mid July (if that date is accurate). But also have cooling issues, park sensor issues, nav issues. Jeep cares escalated it, but theyā€™re draging their feet. I have to keep calling as the guy Iā€™m working with ā€has to wait to hear back from his parts specialist.ā€

unfortunately, this vehicle is my sales tool and unable to attend events right now since the front locker is inopp on and off (requires shifting t case to neutral and restarting vehicle to unbind the front end-not great or safe when on an obstacle or shelf road). And it also binds the front end up to the point itā€™s hindering forward momentum.
ive been dealing with this for over a month now, and the Jeep is only two months old.

Jeep cares- when youā€™re showing your ā€˜new to the brand Jeep customersā€˜ how to operate their Jeeps in a safe manner, showing and testing new off-road industry products, it looks pretty bad when your new Jeep is failing Constantly from the showroom With no fix and parts not available.

itā€™s disapointing to spend money on another Jeep to outfit and use for a daily driver/ fun on the weekends and it fails.....but itā€™s entirely a much larger disappointment when the Jeep is costing you money weekly while youā€™re unable to use it for what it was designed for And preventing you from doing a job.

So I spent some more time and when select trac is engaged the same noise and vibration bus felt while the ABS system utilized the brakes to keep the speed down.
This is the same thing I experience in 4lo and can only conclude it functioning as designed. Have wheeled it again at uwharrie and it did not hinder my operation in any noticeable way.

It has been established in this thread that the vehicle is working exactly as designed many weeks ago, and the noise is merely the ABS/BLD system. I guess many people refuse to accept that and they would rather believe that their Jeep is broken.

I didnā€™t know that it had officially been established as the cause. There was a lot to read and differing opinions.

Several of us have had our cases elevates and the dealer, the JeepCares case, and the Star case all have came back as "Working as designed, go pound sand".

If anyone can make more headway, good luck, keep us updated!

Finally took my 21 Rubicon out for the first time. I experienced this exact same thing and was pretty concerned. I found this thread and thought it was weird to last this long without someone finding an answer.

That said, I want to contribute to this thread with something I discovered. Iā€™m not sure if it was already mentioned (I didnā€™t make it through all of the pages, apologies) but the grinding noise/abs activation went away when I turned on off-road+. This tells me the abs activation is working as designed.

I took my Jeep out yesterday, 4LO, Off-road+ ON and still heard the grinding on the heavy bumps.

Here's yet another recording of the sound from my '21 JLR. Come on, Mopar! This is not right. @JeepCares you should be relentless on this.

Iā€™m going to add that Iā€™ve since gone on a bunch of wheeling trips with some more moderate rock crawling etc. and have only heard the noise for a split second once or twice. It seems to have gotten way better on its own.
