Great news on my built 2024!

So now that my 2024 has been built, I was looking over my build sheet and was very pleased to find that wrangler went back to full metal doors!!! This should alleviate the corrosion problem!

I believe the doors are still aluminum…and aluminum is still considered a metal

As @Terrymo noted, aluminum is metal. I have the same line in my 22's build sheet.

I definitely think you guys are right on the aluminum thing. But to another point, there is a chance they made the doors out of another material. Making the doors out of steel or magnesium “could” be the “improved side impact protection” Jeep as said the MY24’s have.

If that's true then that would be a fairly significant production change from a body stamping standpoint. Working with steel is way different than working with aluminum (not to mention titanium) when you are stamping out hundreds of thousands of doors per year.

The 24's have side curtain airbags. That's the improved side impact protection they are talking about.
