Hi,

I had read in the past that it's possible to change the dash from red to gray (6AB19SD5AA and 6AB27SD5AD) when doing a factory order. Is this true? My dealer is saying the dash only comes in red.

TIA,
John

I have a 2019 JLUR with the dark gray dash. Looks better in my opinion with my exterior yellow. Didn’t order mine, was on the lot. It’s all stock

it depends on your options. Red dash comes with black cloth or black leather.

If you order saddle, or the Mopar leather you get gray.

Yes I want gray too, but my sales manager is telling me I can't order it that way. :(

Just had a buddy order the Mopar leather to avoid the red dash. You do give up a few things - there are some leather accents you don’t get and you don’t get the fold down cup holder. It’s basically the cloth-trim interior with the leather seats.

That's not what I'm seeing on my Build from the website.

Man I’m sorry to give wrong information. I’ll fix my post. I guess cloth gets red.

but you can’t choose. It’s based on seats.

My wife isn't ok with the red dash, like at all. I'm on the fence and think it may grow on me. However the nice black leather with red stiched dash pieces can be had for $350 and the red dash panels regularly sell on the marketplace here for $175. Thats probably the route we will go with when our order finally comes in.

I get wanting to order from the factory, but if the combo of seats and dash aren't available they way you prefer, it's honestly not that difficult to change them out if you are handy with some basic tools...several how-to's and YouTube videos if you are so inclined. You could also order the dash panels you want and probably get the dealer or body shop to swap them for you before delivery w/o being too crazy expensive. A few vendors even do them in custom colors, like having them color-matched to your exterior paint color...that's the route I went for my JLR.

When I was doing the configurations online I didn’t like the red dash. When we went to test drive before the final order, I was pleasantly surprised that I liked the red dash. It really doesn’t look like the picture on the website. It is more of a matte finish. Maybe you have seen it in person though and didn’t like itbut just wanted to let you know. Enjoy the new Jeep.
