I’ve had sting gray and currently own granite crystal... GC doesn’t look as dirty when it’s dirty and scratches aren’t as visible as scratches on sting gray

To be quite honest, a metallic color was not even an option for me...Wranglers should only have flat paint in my opinion...its not a sports or luxury car. With that said, I ordered the Sting Ray...my choice was Sarge Green and Sting Ray...when I had both side by side it was Sting Ray all the way.

Had a Granite Crystal Grand Cherokee (GC GC ) before so I just wanted a different color.The fact that the Sting Gray might someday be a limited run color was just an added bonus. Both are solid choices, in my opinion.

A little known fact: Sting Gray is actually the primer that is used when getting ready to paint a Jeep Granite Crystal Metallic.





Just kidding!!!!

Usually I cannot stand gray vehicles because the paint is so boring-however the Sting Gray is an exception and one of my favorites on a Jeep, (next to of course Granite Crystal). I think it has to do with the contrast of the gray with either black or red accents. It just "pops".

And as we all know it comes down to personal taste, customer preferences and availability.

Both great colors, no doubt. But the metal flake in Granite wins by a nose.

I have the sting gray and like a lot. GC is a great color but metallic paint is far more difficult to match when/if paint work is needed...such as when the paint around the hinges begins to bubble or something unexpected happens while off-roading.

For me Crystal Granite was the obvious choice all of my offroad vehicles have been dark grey, most of the cars have been blue

I'm biased, but Sting Ray is not your ordinary gray. Is like a battleship camo paint that willingly blends with the available light
