@kimmonia - they seem to be working out great, and the seat heaters do come through them... all be it a little bit slower than just the seats themselves. The good news is that they're waterproof so I don't worry about kids, dog, coffee, etc.

I'll keep them on year round because I do things all year round that could bring mud/dirt/kids/dog into the car and I don't want to have to worry every time.

Those are good covers, I had them on my JK. And I like the towel cover on the seat cover! We have dogs too, love them but they destroy all.

Well, slow and steady for sure. No new mods this week... BUT, I went to a great event here in the Midwest. Put on by MWJT (Midwest Jeepthing), Jeeping 101’s aim is to teach you the basics of off-road with a 4-hour classroom style review of the do’s and don’ts and then a few hours out on the trails. What a fantastic way to learn how to Jeep! People who have been wheeling for 15 years (some more, many less) were all out there sharing. Few photos here from the day.

Oh, and my entire family went, so we found something we could all do together and have fun.

@oceanblue2019 - No clearance issues during daily driving, I've been turning full left and right with no rubbing.
I MAY have rubbed when rock crawling a few weeks ago at full flex, but it's my first time out not sure what it was from.

Next "MOD" - which you can't even see. I was nervous about chipping my hinges because the tires now stick out past the fenders and I've heard that the hinges get dinged up pretty good. I finally found a solution - 3M film precut to fit the hinges for the JL, by R3 (Red Rocket Racing) https://www.r3offroad.com/product-page/jeep-jl-door-hinge-protector-film.

Just finished installing my hinge protection and created an install video:



They look great. I can't imagine trying to cut the film to fit after seeing the cuts in these laser cut pieces.
Install takes just under 15 minutes per hinge.

Ok, so I’ve done 2 mods in the last few weeks. First one was the install of my hardtop hoist. It’s not really a “mod” to the Jeep, but it’s work and it’s Jeep related so it’s one that’s been on my list since day 1.

A few “mods” to the Racor Lift:

1. Lag Bolts: I had a serious challenge in finding lag bolts that both fit through the installation holes and that I was comfortable with. Just so happens my grandfather was a machinist and had the right bits for me to make the holes just a tiny bit larger for larger lag bolts.
2. Metal rollers: As suggested by @Twistedfab in this post: https://www.jlwranglerforums.com/fo...-ideas-brainstorming.5659/page-21#post-627909
3. Steel cam drivers: I’ve heard the plastic cam drivers that come with the product can fail, so I bought these: http://topsyproducts.com/products/cable_cam_driver

Yes, this all added a bit of cost and a bit of time, but now it’s perfect. Few photos here to show the completed install.
