That looks great with those Gladiator wheels ! What size tires did you put on those 18's?
Thanks - those wheels came on my 80th Ann edition. Tires are 255/70/18 BFG KO2s - same size as the Bridgestone Duelers that came on the Jeep originally. That looks great with those Gladiator wheels ! What size tires did you put on those 18's?
Great write up Mike. Appreciate all the details. And congratulations. Agree on the re-gear. I went with 4.88's because of some of the things you mention, and altitude here in CO. But the difference between stock gears and new is the difference between driving a lumbering slug and a jack rabbit. Also love that during all your mods and planning - you left the stock tail lights - stock. Mine came with the same and I came close to 'upgrading' them to OEM LED's. But realized to me, the 'old style' halogens make a Jeep look more like a Jeep. And that locker activation switch - brilliant. And lastly the GCM color - I couldn't agree more (you're in a heavily stacked room here). In pictures it's not that visually impressive, which is part of the charm: understated. But in person it's absolutely awesome... kind of its own Easter Egg. Enjoy your rig....So there it is. Now that all the work is done I do miss all the obsessive planning and researching. But soon I will fill the void with ski trips, camping trips and the trail. Maybe another small mod here and there along the way…..Thanks for reading.
Back atcha brother!Merry Christmas my Granite homies….
Thanks. We have similar tastes. Stock with a little modification to make it just abit better but not so much that it is overly modified. Debating on the Mopar OEM lift or an Ole Man Emu lift (OME) 2.5”. I have the OME 2” on our 1998 TJ Sport and love it. Then a rear bumper with carrier. Probably go with the ARB.Looks great. I have essentially the same Jeep. Here's a thread where you can see what it will look like with a 2.5" lift and 35's.
