LOL...I also had saving a little money in my mind and had a payment I was trying to get to and that painted top just didn't feel worth it to me. Basically, I went through my order with everything I wanted the first time essentially selecting almost every upgrade and when I heard my payment, knew I had to give up some stuff or the wife would shoot me! So had to knock out the LED lighting, advanced safety group, steel bumpers and painted top which saved a good chunk. Also went to the 7.0 radio as I didn't care about any of the features the 8.4 offered other than just the actual size of the screen. I still kept the Alpine Premium audio though and those painted fenders. I still quickly ended up knocking off around 5K off the purchase price

I'm guessing your wait was made longer due to the whole COVID thing. I'm hoping my wait won't be quite so long. I ordered on 8/31 and it currently has an estimated ship date of 10/11 so hoping it stays on schedule.

Reading these threads and looking at others Jeep helps pass the time. Although, I keep seeing stuff I'd love to do to mine which will just cost me more money lol.

Yeah it adds up quick. I didn't go with the advanced safety group but I did get the LED lighting group and updated stereo because I heard good things about them. My wait was brutal. I tried to order in Feb 2020 but they stopped taking orders for manuals due to a clutch recall. So I had to wait until March 14 to order. I had so much time on my hands, I spent thousands on mods that quickly filled up a large closet and part of my garage. So many options out there, but that's what makes these vehicles great

Red Cone Pass. Looking up at the summit. 12801 feet in elevation up there. If you have the chance to do this trail I highly recommend it.

Is this a new thing for the 2021s? I see your Wrangler comes with the Gladiator grill/mesh at the front grill.

This is a shot of the grill on my 2020 Recon. The mesh looks the same as on the 2021?

The openings/holes are a bit bigger on the 2021 pic. Maybe they changed it up?

Another thought may be. It looks like they ordered new to JL forward facing camera which was on JT last year and possibly only comes in that grill insert. Just a thought
