I'm at the dealer to get a wheel sensor replaced on my 19 JLU and he wanted to do this recall too, had to ask him to hold off so I could swap out my Fox stabilizer with the original Mopar part first.

So what would be the point of doing that?

If you purchased an aftermarket SS to fix the issue then you simply submit for the reimbursement...

well, I assumed the reimbursement wouldn't cover the cost of the fox unit, and I figured it would be a good idea to have the Mopar spare in my parts bin?

Any of you guys/gals in here who are having the wandering issue have an aftermarket lift? I’ve had the issue since it rolled off the lot. I recently installed an RK 2.5” lift and I still have it. I only ask because I know how dealerships can be when it comes to having aftermarket parts installed. My VIN falls under the V41 recall but it sounds like that’s not the fix for the wandering. I do get a ton of movement over bumps though.

I called FCA and they did confirm to me that the reimbursement will not cover the replacement cost of an aftermarket stabilizer, just OEM stabilizer replacement if anyone did it before the recall came out.

Just called my dealer about the recall they said 3 to 5 months to get the part I laughed and said must not be too good of a recall if it takes that long to get a part or you’re not concerned about my safety

Just got the notice in the Mopar app today. I have not experienced the wandering/wobble so I’m worried about them creating a problem if they do the V41. Build date 8/18 (Sport).
Just got a notice on my phone today that my 2018 Wrangler 2.0 needs the V41 recall performed. Called the dealer and scheduled the work in two weeks. Funny thing is, I've never noticed a steering wander with this Jeep. I put Falken Wildpeaks on it and lowered the psi to 34#.
Guess will see if a new steering damper makes any diff.

it was an hour job, easy to wait for it if your dealer has the part in. I've heard dealers are only being alotted like 2 of these parts per month.
Yeah. I am on the wait list. 4 more ahead of me

I went to my dealer for an oil change and they told me about it and replaced it. No issues

Called my dealer since it shows up for mine. I got the run around, was told they could not do it on a Sat because they only have techs in for oil changes and such. she said it could take 3hrs to 3 days and asked if I wanted to talk to a service adviser, which of course I say yes, was put on hold and no one ever picked up so of course I was disconnected and had to call back then I got a VM which I left a message 3hrs before they closed and still have not got a call back. (Not liking this dealers service already). Dealer BTW is Tuttle Click Jeep Irvine. I am going to wait to see how long it takes them to call me back as a test.

I'm pretty sure i've read some posts that FCA was telling 19 model year owners that they "don't have the steering issue" so they might not have recalled any 19s. Mine is an 18, build date 11/18. But theres some owners who had summer 2018 build dates who don't see it as a recall either.

I guess it'll be a big mystery until they fix their website and put up the document GeeBee has asked about. :(
Just got an email a few days ago from the dealer that my JLR has the recall and my VIN is on the site. Although my build is summer of 2018, I don't actually experience the issue addressed by the recall.

Ok got the call from dealer yesterday that parts came in and I set up appointment for 7:30am Monday morning!
I will let everybody know how it’s goes. I also told them I wanted them to look at the TBS for replacing track bar as well

Good idea! That's what I'm going to do. I want to get the new one as a good spare for when the Fox wears out, if ever. My service guys, however, might just do it for me and hand me the Fox in a box. That'd save me a dirty shirt and 20 minutes.
