I have one of my 392 wheels with me in my office today so that I can measure for a big brake kit. Figured I would offer to answer or check any questions for you guys today. Let me know if you need to know anything or have me check things! Here's a pic of the wheel with my new 37" Nitto's on them:

*Edit: I am adding a photo of the back side of the wheel with the wheel specs:

Got my 392 on Sunday. Just ordered 17x9.5 Black Rhino Bronze Oceano Wheels and 35x12.5 BFG MT KM3's. I hope it looks good when all said and done!

That should look great! Be sure to share some pics when you get them.

So its a 7.5" with I'm assuming that is when used as DOT and shipped. When used as a bead lock I'm assuming it is more like 8.5". I ask because it looks like you mounted it as a bead lock.

I have a set of DOT bead locks on my JK that work this way. I was wondering if they are the same?

These are not mounted as beadlocks. The trim ring is literally just a beauty ring... although Discount Tire was very confused by it.

7.5" just seems narrow for a 12.5" tire. I would like to use the factory wheels long term but may have to go with a 9.5" wide wheel and little less back space on mine when I get it. That should help some when at full flex to keep from rubbing although this one for me will be mostly a street queen. I have a JK I'm keeping for bouncing on rocks.

Plenty of people including myself have been running 12.5’s on the stock wheels. I have 35x12.5’s on a stock set of wheels that I used for wheeling my JLUR and they have worked out great.

Thanks @ShockerRacing for the videos and feedback on your 392, very helpful! My 392 should be arriving soon and I am trying to plan ahead. I ultimately want to run 37s, but I also want as close to 0/positive offset as possible and have seen mixed feedback on running 37s stock. My shop also won’t install 12.5” width tires on the stock 7.5” wheels. I am leaning towards Fuel Shok bronze wheels 17x9, +1 offset. I can’t live with the 33s and wonder if 35s will also be too small. I can throw some 35x11.5s on the factory wheels for now, buy the Fuel wheels and 35x12.5s, or go Fuel wheels and 37x12.5 and hope they fit without rubbing. Any thoughts on these options? I won’t likely do much hardcore off-roading but will run on the beach regularly. I’m willing to do pretty much whatever to fit 37s, but my shop hasn’t worked on the 392 yet and doesn’t know what/if parts are required or available. Any thoughts are welcome! Thanks

Does anyone know the max size tire I can use on the Jeep 392 stock rims? I can’t afford to add too much to the car. It was so expensive as is. I plan to mostly drive on road.

@graytrucks 35x11.5s on the stock wheels (at least for now) is a great option IMO. The fit is perfect and I think it looks really good. I plan to offroad it, so I'll be going to 37s once there's a lift for it. But I'm really happy with 35s for now.

@392Newbie I have the Nitto Trail Grapplers in 35x11.50R17. Everything else is stock and the fit is perfect, even when flexed. I'm pretty sure you'll rub with larger tires if you keep everything stock.

Thanks for posting, that does look good! This may be the way to go for now. I am leaning towards the Nittos as well, glad that everything fits stock. Good luck with your 392!

Anyone know what a good sale price would be for a set of 5 Rubicon 392 tires and rims? Getting new tires and rims this weekend and I want to sell.

We sold our tires for $800. There are a lot of people that want these wheels so I would post them for sale on the Forum here and on FB Marketplace. I would try listing them for $1200-1500 depending on how fast you want to move them.
