I would definitely get the Sahara based on the options you are getting and the small price difference between the two($1860 msrp)

The sahara comes standard with the following which you are ordering on sport S anyway:
- side steps
- tech group
- sirius xm radio option

In addition, you get these extras:
- HD brakes
- convenience group(homelink)
- upgraded interior(dash trim, leather door handles, nicer seats
- Extra outlet for the rear seats and I think rear USB chargers are on sahara but not sport as well
- upgraded exterior - nicer bumpers, painted fenders, grille inserts, etc...

Also, higher trade in down the road.
I had put together a list of differences between the 80th & Sahara.

The '21 Sport S now has the Tech as a required option.

The Sahara has a different suspension which is probably calibrated to the 18" wheels. Someone mentioned the Sahara also has ambient cabin lighting as well. If you were to lease, the Sport models variations have better residual values than the Sahara (which results in a cheaper monthly payment)

If you wanted this:

Jeep Wrangler Unlimited Sahara 4x4
Firecracker Red
Black Interior
18" x 7.5 Inch Tech-Gray Machine-Face Wheels
8.4-Inch Display
Tow Package
MANUAL Transmission

But you were also willing to order this:

Jeep Wrangler Unlimited Sport S 4x4
Firecracker Red
Black Interior
XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX Wheels
8.4-Inch Display
Tow Package
MANUAL Transmission

But you *really* liked the 18" wheels mentioned on the Sahara...

What would you do? I'm reading the order form posted on this forum to determine what "else" I'm getting with the Sahara and I'm not certain I can justify the price difference. Unless... is there something strategic that I am getting with the Sahara that I'm not seeing?

Is there a way to get the 18" wheels from the Sahara I mentioned? I don't think so... I know about buying used take-offs... any other thoughts?

Thanks,
Pete
Tire options suck for 18” wheels unless you don’t plan to lift it and oversize the tires :like:

Haves Sport S. I bought Rubi takeoff rims with 33’s for $1000 on Facebook marketplace. I started off saying I was good with the 245’s. That lasted about 7 months. Don’t miss anything else that was in the Saharas I looked at. Dual is a must in my opinion. Flipping back the roof at a red light in nice weather much easier than removing Freedom panels

Found this out the hard way when I started looking for tires for the 80th anniversary we have ordered. Seems like almost everything is 10 ply LT tires. I did find a 295/70r18 Nitto that’s not LT. works out to just shy of 35
