Gorilla Glass Windshield for JL - Not Available

FWIW - i just ordered yesterday and there was no rumble about it, from dealer, parts or any other. Take that with a grain of salt, but idid recently inquire.

Let me know how it goes! I just did the same and they said apparently the windshields are interchangeable between JK and JL?

I posted the info as I know many JL owner's are thinking Gorilla Glass for their JL's. I'm not saying it would me a good alternative. Time will tell.

I'm just saying that I haven't cracked a screen yet, going back to long before gorilla glass was around It was a comment following another comment about being clumsy.

Yes but it's unlikely you're going to drop the vehicle on it's obligatory "corner." Unless of course you roll the rig, at which point there will be other problems to worry about.

I don't think people understand the structure of glass. It's very strong and resistant with direct impacts from blunt objects. It's when the glass has shock impact laterally and/or sharp objects are put into the mix...it breaks.

Your right, I dont..all I know is it breaks easy enough. The demo's I have seen with the gorilla glass for windshields are impressive. If and when I break mine it will likely be what I go to with some guarded optimism given the phone experience.
