I have the stock BFG KO2s on my Rubi. They do well for me with one exception - they seem particularly prone to hydroplaning. Anyone have recommendations for a winter rated (three peak mountain snowflake) A/T tire that is more resistant to hydroplaning? I am reading good things about the Duratracs. The Pirelli Scorpion All Terrain Plus has peaked my interest as well. Anyone with direct experience who can compare the KO2s to either of those others?

I just started a new threat similar to yours. " slippery when wet" I hope to get more responses! Did you ever switch tires? Any better if you did?

Hmmmm, this is not an experience I've ever had with these tires.

I wonder if they have changed something tiny with the tire compound or design?

I'm interested to hear other comments on this.

I had the same issues, BFG were not good in wet weather and switched to Falken Wildpeak AT3s on the Jeep. I have Duratracs on my truck and both are great in snow and wet and are both also rated the 3 Peak Snowflake rating.

Funny I went from the stock Sahara Duelers which were great in the rain to the KO2’s and this is my only complaint as well!

Duratracs have excelled for me in slow, slush, and rainy conditions.

I like KO2's for what they are - quite on the highway and performs good offroad and holds up well(so far) to rocky terrain. But my 35K old Duratracs have better snow and wet traction than my 4K miles old KO2's.Duratracs do get loud as they age though. I am planning to replace them with Falken At3W or the new Cooper At3 4S when they wear out.

I had Duratracs on my 15 Rubicon and on my 05 Suburban, . Was a great looking tire. I think they may have changed them since then. I think I may go Falken this time. Will see
