There was a guy who went in without a spotter and almost tipped over but saved himself last second by gunning it. Pretty intense.

That looks awesome.

Also not sure I'm ready for John Bulk from those pics.

We’re camped at Holcomb Valley Ranch campground. Very nice place, and super easy access to trails. Since we didn’t get hardly any sleep the night prior to the run, we wouldn’t have made it to Gold on time, more like 1030 sadly. We ended up on John Bull at 1100 once the wife was feeling ok. Ran it solo, though a nice gentleman at the gatekeeper was kind enough to spot for me for the first fifty yards. Once I warmed up and got in the groove we cruised through in 2 1/2 hours with a nice lunch break and some vista stops. Today, Sunday, we’re going to run Gold so my wife can drive it. She was intimidated by John Bull and didn’t want to give it a go. Next time.

Was nice to see some you out on the trails from previously wheeling with some of you at cougar buttes. The holiday traffic was definitely out there in the trails aswell. We managed to get an early enough start at John Bull by 9am and finished just about by 130. I believe we did see @ChuckQue on the tail end of John Bull and just out exploring aswell haha. John Bull will definitely require some good spotting, got through it with the stock XR and the 2 door bronco handled it just aswell, the white Rubicon with the 3.5 + 37's makes it look 6/10 on rating.

Also the house we all aired up next to must have haunting nightmares of air compressors

I'd be in for camping out on the 30th and running John Bull on the 1st. I'd probably head home afterwards though and not stay till the 2nd.

You talking June 30 - July2? I'll be boondocking in Big Bear right around that time - I'm in. We'll probably be camping out until the 6th.
