I’m somewhat interested. I live in suisun, so less than an hour away. I just don’t know if I want to spend that much on a rack.

is there any drilling to the hardtop? How easy it to install? Can I still take off the top with little work?

I’m new to racks, so if you have some information and I can get a solid deal. Maybe I can convince the wife to get the rack instead wheels/tires.

This is one of the heavy duty racks for holding a RTT etc. Each order is custom and requires about a 6 month wait. One of the nice features of the Gobi rack is that no drilling of the hardtop is required and that it flips back allowing for the top to be changed. This one is new in box so I have no experience installing but from what I've seen on-line it is quite involved and requires removing the rear bumper. I'll link the install instructions and add a video of the rack on a JKU being flipped.

I hope this answers your questions.

Here is a pic of the box to show it is new and unopened and to give an idea of the size of the box.

Thank you for the information. I’ll talk to the wife and see. It’s technically her Jeep and Mother’s Day she wants wheels/tires, but we could use a rack more. If she’s decided on either, I’ll let you know. Hopefully someone cat pick it up or get it installed at your place lol. That box is huge.
