I have been running the @GOAT FABRICATION Rock Sliders (product thread) with top plates for 5 months now, they are solid and have taken some hits offroad during this time. We have had the chance to play in the rocks and climb some ledges with them multiple times and they have earned their keep - even have some badge of honor scrapes on them. The ultimate test though is the wife and daughter - I am happy to say they love them. I hear on a regular basis how much they love the top plates and they feel more secure stepping into the Jeep with them. I think the sliders without the top plates are great as well but knew my family would appreciate the top plates. It has been a win win for me - happy wife & daughter and I got new rock solid sliders to play off-road with. I 100% recommend these rock sliders!

How in the heck does @GOAT FABRICATION have 3 different 2-door Bronco sliders, but still nothing at all for the 2-door Wrangler 😿

Do you have to remove (or loosen) the body bolts for their sliders??
I think they are very close to releasing a 2 door JL version. Yes you simply remove the frame body bolts and reinstall with the sliders.

Well....LOL...the real reason is my non-compete just expired recently from selling my previous Jeep parts only company and now I can get back to new Jeep products.

We have two door in the works and will be releasing soon as well as lots of other new JL designs.

Thank you!

Just received my GOAT sliders with plates this week and plan to install this weekend if I can. Did you retain the stock rocker panels? I plan to.

Yes these sliders are designed to work with the stock Rubi rails

Contact them and let them know your interest. I had to bug @Nemesis Industries to learn they had the 2 Door Sliders version available! Slowly more options for 2 Door Jeepers!!

And that's the thing. Even though the 2-door is sadly far less common these days, manufacturers can easily get away with charging the same (or nearly the same) price for a smaller slider that uses less material and is cheaper/easier to ship. Economy of scale, though it's probably still the same amount of time and labor.

Not that I'm suggesting a parity for 2-door and 4-door pricing for parts like that or even for the vehicle itself, but ultimately, it's a small price to pay for consumers to have a better selection of quality parts. Heck, even if Jeep eventually takes away the $4,000 discount for buying the smaller 2-door, it's still a lot better than not having it as an option at all (again, I'm not suggesting they should!)

Just my 2¢ (or 62¢ when adjusted for inflation over the past century 😁)

So I can’t speak to other brands but mine at least were cheaper than a 4 door set by a fair amount and it actually surprised me. Yes, it is less material but they are also not just cut down the connections/mounts are slightly off and the market is so much smaller.

2-Door Sliders are coming soon, as well as JT! And yes, you remove the body mount bolts to install the sliders and then re-install them.

Thank you.

Does anyone take the body mount bolts off the JL without issue? I watched the GOAT video and naively thought it's just a matter of removing the body mount bolts on my new 2023 JL. Now I have 2 loosened body mount bolts that won't come out. Any tips on actually removing these bolts? Is it an issue to drive the vehicle with 2 of the bolts loosened, I don't see myself resolving this issue.

Does it feel like the internal nut is just spinning or do you still have resistance when you turn the bolt?
if the internal nut has broken free you could be in a bit of trouble.
if the bolt still has resistance try threading it back in 1/4 - 1/2 turn the try removing it again, when it gets tight back it off 1/4 - 1/2 turn, keep repeating until it’s out .

I had one get really tight on my 392 and fought it for a while back and forth. I used a bore scope to verify access to the threads inside the body structure and I was able to spray a healthy amount of WD-40 into the cavity and let it soak for a while before it loosened up and finally came out. Take your time, some people have broken the bolts off are worse broke the internet threaded portion.
