I got the unit from eBay used. Everything looks good except the power cable unless the grounding piece is supposed to be like that… messaged the seller

Supposed to be like what? I can't really tell from the pic, but if it's just that the ring terminal is on the positive and not the ground, you can just do a little snippy-crimpy. But I might be missing something

Yeah it might be stupid I just thought it was a problem when I took it out of the box but I’m working with the seller still learning even the most basic shit lol

We all start fresh on something! I had to (read: wanted to for aesthetics) hardwire my Midland unit, which involved cannibalizing the 12v harness. Looks like garbage right now but I'm planning to clean it up with some Deutsch connectors so the glovebox can be sealed up better and the radio can be removed from it without cutting cables.
