has anyone used the Tazer JL mini to program the ECU so the fog lights stay on with the brights? I see it on the Tazer JL mini data sheet but would like to hear from real users

You might already be aware, but just FYI in some states having fog lights and hi beams on together is illegal. Not likely to get pulled for it I would guess but something they can pile on if they want to.

It is illegal on the road but if you're suing it for the trail and have the HD electronics package just rewire the fogs into an AUX switch

Dont mess with your electronics, Jeep costs to much....and warranty issues. Just mount some aux fogs and turn em' with the high beams.

Then again, high beams on the trail?

Yes, fog lights on with brights is a non-live feature of the Tazer JL / Tazer JL Mini.

I travel with fog lights on with brights often.... when traveling the back roads / deer country at night.

I tested mine the other day and I think they stayed on. I don't remember having this tazer option on either. Tazer is solid for me.

If the deer were to somehow be seen by your fogs but not your high beams, it would be too late anyway. The fogs only light up a couple feet in front of the Jeep.

:CWL: you must have the new deer repellant fog lights. I've heard about those...where did you get?

Fogs actually light out to the side quite a bit. A few times I’ve been on bright, then dimmed with fogs on to see deer near the shoulder I didn’t see on bright.

I have the Tazer, and I have enabled this feature. It works perfectly, and is absolutely worth doing.

I asked about a flash at the dealer to do this, but they said they couldn’t. I had it done on my Harley with a flash.

@BillG

On a clear night, fog lights with brights, nets you the ability to see the deer/bear far a head, (thanks to the brights) in the distance .....and also thanks to the fogs, you see the deer/bear, that are up close and hanging on the sides of the road.
