Thank ya. Got it up and watching it now. Got one of those 49" monitors so I can Jeep and work at the same time everyday. Lol.

Looking amazing @chevymitchell! After seeing it in person, it has come a long way from then until now. Can't wait to see the final version (I know you can't either!).

One little piece at a time. 22 months in now... taking a long time to resurrect, but mostly waiting on money and parts. Seems normal. Lol.

Very close now though.

I'm really impressed with and fascinated by all your work.

Not to pull any focus from your amazing project, but I have a question you might be uniquely qualified to answer given how much disassembly you did. Did you happen to notice what's on the back side of the panel where you removed the Trail Rated badge? When I removed my badge I could see three dimples, almost like the antenna mounting structure is hidden under the first layer of sheet metal. I don't expect you to have noticed with all the other details you've been meticulously handling, but I'm curious enough to ask anyway.

Either way, I'll continue to follow this awesome thread!

Thanks man. Appreciate it!

Yes, the drivers quarter panel has the same 3 dimples. I would imagine this is because the quarter panel dies are mirror images of each other. They just add the 3 extra pieces on the passenger side to fully press out the openings for the hardware.

The back sides are the same. There isn’t any really structure behind there specific to the antenna mount.

I think it’s like that so they can use the same panels for left and right hand drives……I noticed the same thing on the frame when I installed my limit strap. I’m using a threaded hole in the frame that I’m assuming the gas tank would be using if it was on a right hand drive…this is just speculation, I have zero literature to back it up…… ?

I should add that the antenna mount itself is just a small piece of aluminum that’s bolted on from the outside. The panel just has 3 nuts tack welded. Other than that, it’s just the sheet metal in that area. Nothing extra added.

Awesome work, i do have one suggestion, for the grill the three pieces around it if you make them body color would be nicer looking similar to mine here
